statement of environmental effects ('SEE')

A fundamental DA-lodgement requirement, an SEE report identifies:

  • the constraints and opportunities of the site;
  • the details of the proposal;
  • non-compliances with planning controls and justifies these non-compliances;
  • how any impacts on neighbouring properties are mitigated;
  • why the development should be approved and what its benefits are.

This is the "go to" report for the council planner so it is worthwhile making sure it is convincing and 'sells' your proposal to the council, getting your DA over the line with a minimum of fuss.

You can rely on Creedence Planning to ensure that your SEE covers the detail it needs to, identifies and justifies non-compliances, and provides factual, convincing arguments to the council for supporting your development. Our reports are more detailed than most as we believe that anticipating council issues or concerns and addressing them well at the outset leads to a more rapid and informed assessment.
