Not all planning consultants will get involved in DA objections. Creedence Planning believes in the right of all members of the community to have access to professional support from town planning experts in the development sector, not just applicants. Genuine consultation and informed, measured feedback is the keystone for any democracy.
If you have received notice of a development proposal near your property and you are concerned about its potential impacts, we will take a look at the DA for a nominal fee and advise you whether it is worthwhile engaging us to prepare a detailed objection or, we will simply provide professional support and advice to you to assist you with preparing your own objection.
It really depends on how many significant issues and impacts there are and how much value we can add with a detailed objection. At the end of the day, our aim is to make the process cost efficient but still give you maximum support in circumstances when it is clear to us that you will need it.
Unfortunately, the quality of all DA's submitted to Council is not consistent. Council planners are always under pressure to deal with DA's quickly and this can lead to details being missed in the assessment. We will assess the submitted DA information for you in detail and identify information gaps, inaccuracies, impacts on your property, non-compliances (including those evident, omitted and obscured) and any relevant statutory and policy issues that might apply. Once matters are raised in an objection to Council, they must be duly considered. Any impact to your property arising from a non-compliance is always considered less reasonable/acceptable and more likely to lead to Council requiring amended plans to reduce the impact or rejecting the DA.
Ensure your most important asset is protected by engaging Creedence Planning to assist you in making legitimate, accurate, reasonable representations to the Council on DA's adjacent to your property.
